I own several Datsun A-series race engines, three of which I have used in the #45 Nissan 200SX to compete and win the 2008 SCCA National Championship Runoffs. These top three engines are now for sale. These are all designed and built using the best racing parts available in the US. They are the best big-bore Datsun 1200 engines in the United States.

All three have Comptech designed race cylinder heads, built starting from a new GX casting. Ported and polished for the largest stainless steel valves suited for the A-series engines, 39mm intake and 31mm exhaust. Elgin camshaft with Elgin dual race springs. Valve train includes bushed Datsun steel rocker arms (except as noted below), tool steel Charlie Smith solid lifters and Smith Bros chrome moly 3-piece pushrods. Balanced 70mm 1200 crankshaft. Ultra -lightweight Tilton steel flywheel, Tilton clutch and pressure plate. Capable of 10,000 RPM racing.

#3 Datsun 1200 76mm bore A12A 1296cc full race engine. Named "Biv-Tec". J&E high compression race pistons, with compression in the 14.5 to 1 ratio. Custom knife edged lightweight A12A crankshaft. Uses a steel wet sump competition oil pan and a custom competition oil pump with outlets for remote oil filter and cooler.  Includes an oval port dual intake manifold but NO carburators. SALE $3500.
